Vidya Devi has Master\'s degree in Social Work from the University of Bombay and has also studied social work and community development at various university and institutions of national importance. She is particularly interested in social work and Dalit movement. She has several papers to her credit in leading Dalit journals. She possesses brilliant academic career and has been awarded several financial assistance from government organizations. Her areas of interest are Dalit upliftment social work and community development. She is actively associated with various NGOS and societies working toward the welfare of Dalit community. She has participated in various national and international conferences and seminars.
